The Department's Library (Grafoteka) offers the most recent collection of publications, both monographs and handbooks, relating to the following major areas of linguistic and cultural research:

  • anthropology and anthropological linguistics
  • language and linguistic dictionaries
  • general linguistics
  • applied linguistics (including communicology)
  • language ecology (ecolinguistics)
  • language planning and language policies
  • language, society, culture, communication
  • semiotics (general and applied).

The collection, which can only be accessed on the spot (The Department's Reading Room), includes about 4,000 volumes and is constantly updated.

Apart from the collection of most recent books, the Department also holds a collection of video materials (Wideoteka) relating to various aspects of culture, language, and communication.
